I am now serving St. James Episcopal Church in Fremont as deacon. I moved here with my new wife Beverly Cannon / Mosier. I am still going through the required back ground checks for becoming a licensed minister in the Diocese of N. California. I have approval from the diocese to begin liturgical presence at St. James and serve as deacon in that parish on Wednesday mornings as once a month for the Sunday Liturgy on the third Sunday's of the month I have met with the Cannon to the Ordinary Micheal Barlowe and we are in dialogue about possible re establishing ministry among Deaf People in the Diocese. The Ministry of Holy Spirit has been dissolved and only two people from the old deaf congregation attend St. Paul's in Walnut Creek. We continue to be in touch with our people at St. Hilda's in the diocese of Oregon through Skype and VP communication. They gave us a wonderful send off. Bev is a teacher at CSDF and I have applied for volunteer work at the school. In addition I hope to become active in the residential care facility, Fremont Oaks Gardens. Things are very much in the planning stages. I will most likely be having hip surgery in February or March. Mean while prayers for our work in Fremont would be most appreciated. |
