Gilbert Maxson of Rochester, NY passed away today after a brief illness.  He was resident of Unity Living Center in Rochester, NY, and is predeceased by his wife, Gladys Maxson.
Gil was active in the Ephphatha Rochester Ministry for many years.  He grew up in Rochester and attended school at Rochester School for the Deaf, then worked at Kodak.  He served as Ephphatha Treasurer and Warden and acted as acolyte and Chalice bearer as well as Layreader for Ephphatha as well as the hearing church with which it was associated.  Gil will be remembered as a kind and intelligent man who loved his God and his neighbor.  It is fitting that he has passed on All Saints Day - he is certainly one of our blessed and remembered saints!

Thank you and God Bless,

Rev. Suzanne Johnston
Deacon for Deaf Ministry
Episcopal Diocese of Rochester
